"Tisch" (Yiddish for “table”) is the Hasidic custom of gathering around a table to share songs, words and drinks—all of the kind that warm you up on the inside. Prepare yourself to experience the best of Shabbat and Limmud NY, all wrapped up in one joyous and uplifting session. Note: some alcohol will be available for participants ages 21 and over.

Amichai Lau Lavie

Amichai Lau-Lavie is the founding director of Storahtelling, Inc. and the spiritual leader of Lab/Shul. An Israeli-born Jewish educator, writer, and performer, he is currently a rabbinical student at the Jewish Theological Seminary. Amichai was a Jerusalem Fellow at the Mandel Leadership Institute in Israel (2008-2009), is a consultant to the Reboot Network and a member of the URJ Faculty Team. He is Abba to Alice, Ezra, and Charlotte-Hallel.
