Arthur Green, the Founding Dean and Rector of Hebrew College Rabbinical School, is both a historian of Jewish religion and a theologian; his work seeks to form a bridge between these two distinct fields of endeavor. Green studied under such prominent teachers as Alexander Altmann, Nahum N. Glatzer, and Abraham Joshua Heschel. As a teacher of Jewish mysticism, Hasidism, and theology, Green has authored over a dozen books and is a leading rabbinic figure to Jews across denominational lines.
